Veterinary Medicine graduate of the Complutense University of Madrid. She did her internships in different zoos, wildlife rehabilitation centres and veterinary clinics of small and exotic animals all around Spain. She was an intern student in different areas of veterinary medicine such as infectious diseases, pathological anatomy, reproduction, trauma and intern medicine.
After finish her degree she worked in different wildlife rescue centres in the Ecuadorian Amazon and in small animal veterinary clinics, fighting primarily against the illegal trade of local species and raising awareness about this issue amongst the indigenous population.
Back in Spain she worked with exotic animals and definitely specialised in this areas after qualifying with the Master’s degree in Pathology and Emergency with Exotic Animals of the AEVA. She also attended several courses: abdominal ultrasound, anaesthesia, thoracic and abdominal radiology, cytology, etc. Currently she keeps broadening her knowledge and skills with courses, congresses and conferences.
