Veterinary Medicine graduate of the University of Santiago de Compostela, founder and president for a number of years of Avafes in Lugo (Veterinary Wildlife and Exotic Fauna Rescue Association). Master’s degree in wildlife management by the University of Murcia. General Practitioner Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice (Improve International).
He is highly qualified, with great internship and work experience, in wildlife and pet medicine. His works with Iberian wolves ‘in situ’ in Spain and Portugal and with the endangered Ara galucogularis in Bolivia, within the ‘population reinforcement and conservation project’ of the WPT (World Parrot Trust), are especially remarkable. As for his work with pets he did an internship in the Wildlife and Exotic Animal Service of the Tras-os-Montes e Alto Douro University (Portugal), which serves as a regional local fauna rehabilitation centre and as a specialised exotic animal service. Later on he carried put his work in different clinics and hospitals combining practice with exotic and common pets.
